Food, drinks and blues to take over downtown Marshall

The 2019 Ice, Wine, Beer and Blues Festival is scheduled to take over downtown Marshall Friday and Saturday.

At 4 p.m. Friday, International ice carver John Merucci is creating movie themed ice sculptures, some interactive.

Several downtown restaurants are featuring their own food in the festival, a new tradition. The wine and beer tasting starts at 6 p.m.

The event also offers live music and shopping. Unique items can be found, such as hand made pottery goblets.

The Franke Center for the Arts' annual Winter Blues Festival is Saturday at 5 p.m. Jimmie Stagger, Seventh Son Blues Band and Root Doctor are all scheduled to perform.
