MARSHALL, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) — An investigation is underway after flames damage a motel overnight.

Firefighters in Marshall say the flames started in an office connected to Howard's Motel on W. Michigan Avenue. Firefighters on scene said they were able to put out the flames quickly and prevent further damage to much of the building.

Right now the cause of the fire has not been identified. No injuries were reported.
