Two suspects were arrested for receiving and concealing stolen property greater than $20,000 after multiple items were found on a routine patrol in Decatur Township.

Deputies said they noticed a trailer parked next to the railroad tracks in the 82000 block of 42nd Street in Decatur. After finding access through the Amtrak right of way, deputies located multiple items on the property. Several lawn mowers, a golf cart, an ATV, a small farm tractor and mower deck and multiple trailers were found on the property.

A search warrant was executed by police after confirming a travel trailer was stolen from Indiana. The two suspects arrived at the scene hauling another trailer with a lawn mower that was confirmed stolen out of Goshen, Ind.

All the items were confiscated for processing and further investigation. Most of the items were brand new and have values over $10,000 each.

Both suspects, a 39-year-old man from South Bend and a 40-year-old woman from Elkhart, were arrested and lodged at Van Buren County Jail without incident.
