KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Crews responded to a garage fire in Kalamazoo Wednesday morning that a homeowner says threatened an antique tractor.
Around 8 a.m. Wednesday, fire crews responded to a report of a possible structure fire in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Denner Street.
The homeowner says he walked into his garage, which housed among other things, an antique tractor, and noticed that an extension cord plugged into a power strip was smoking.
He tells Newschannel 3 that he got the tractor out and turned around to find the garage on fire.
Fire crews responded to the scene and had the flames under control in a matter of minutes.
There were no injuries, and we're told the tractor was saved.
