Crane removal to impact downtown Kalamazoo traffic on Monday
KALAMAZOO, Mich. —
Crews removing a crane from the downtown area will impact the commute Monday, as work continues on the new Exchange Building.
Michigan Avenue will need to be closed down to one lane, between Rose Street and Burdick Street, according to the city of Kalamazoo Department of Public Services.
There is no indication from the department as to when the closed lanes will open back up.
Those who take the downtown route on Michigan Avenue are being advised to seek alternate routes. You can see the city's planned detour here:
Work on the Exchange Building is expected to wrap up in the summer.
