County leaders want to expand Kalamazoo River Valley Trail to Augusta
KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo County Commission will discuss expanding the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail Tuesday night.
They want to complete the final two segments of the trail through Kalamazoo County, from 35th Street to Galesburg Augusta High School, and then all the way to Fort Custer.
Once that is completed, the trail will run for 75.5 miles across West Michigan.
The most recent part of the trail opened in May, from Westnedge Avenue along the Arcadia Creek over to Kalamazoo Avenue and Harrison.
The Kalamazoo County Commission meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Kalamazoo County Administration Building.
