Community saying goodbye to fallen Michigan State trooper
DAVISON, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Monday, family, friends, and the community are saying their goodbyes to a fallen Michigan State trooper.
Trooper Timothy O'Neill was on patrol last Wednesday, when his motorcycle collided with a truck in Kent County.
He later died at the hospital.
O'Neill is a Western Michigan University graduate, worked at the Rockford State Police post.
His visitation is happening right now, and goes until 8 p.m., at Allen Funeral Home, in Davison.
A funeral will follow Tuesday morning at the Apostolic Church, in Auburn Hills.
In Trooper O'Neill's honor, Governor Snyder has ordered all flags be lowered to half staff Tuesday.
Flags should be returned to full staff on Wednesday.
