Charges dismissed against former Quincy principal and superintendent
QUINCY, Mich. —
A judge has thrown out charges against the former principal and superintendent of Quincy Public Schools Wednesday.
David Spalding and Craig Artist were both charged with failure to report sexual abuse to police. The charges are linked to a case involving former high school drama teacher Jason Ferrell.
Ferrell pleaded no contest to multiple sexual assault charges earlier in 2018 for having a relationship with a female student.
The parents of the Branch County teen are suing Quincy Public Schools, Ferrell, Spalding and Artist for a lack of reform since the allegations came to light.
