Boil water advisory lifted following Tuesday's water main break

    A boil water advisory that was issued on Tuesday, Nov. 6 after a water main break has official been lifted as of Sunday afternoon, according to the city of Kalamazoo.

    The precautionary advisory has been lifted in the following areas:

    • 20th Street from McKinley Street north of Colby Avenue on both sides of the street
    • McKinley Street from 20th Street to the extent of the Parchment water system between 21st and Polk streets
    • Roosevelt Avenue from 20th Street to eastern extent of Parchment water system

    Bacteriological sampling confirms the water in the affected areas is now acceptable for consumptive purposes.
