Body found in Calhoun Co., not currently deemed suspicious

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police are investigating after a body was found at a home on Morgan Road in Battle Creek Wednesday night.

Police were called out to the home in the 300 block of Morgan Road, near Brown Street, after the landlord of the rental home requested a welfare check, citing an odor.

Upon arrival, police found the body of a male, believed to be in his 40's or 50's, which they believe was there for roughly five days.

At this time, police are not treating the death as suspicious. The Medical Examiner offers reason to believe the death was medical related, as there was paperwork in the home indicating the man suffered from a medical condition.
