Blood drive Friday at Galesburg-Augusta High School
GALESBURG, Mich. - This week you can save someone's life with a trip to Galesburg-Augusta High School.
The National Honor Society is hosting a blood drive Friday for the American Red Cross.
Students told Newschannel 3 every donation can help save three lives. With a recent shortage in blood, every donation makes a difference.
"A lot of times there's major events like hurricanes and we need a lot of blood," said Branden Burrill, a senior. "We're a big part of that and we take pride in being a big part of that."
If you want to donate blood, the drive runs Friday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Galesburg-Augusta High School at M-96 and North 37th Street. You can sign up here, but walk-ins are welcome.
Organizers want to remind volunteers to eat a big breakfast and drink lots of water before you donate.
