Bedford Township man arraigned on charges of making and distributing child pornography

A 35-year-old Bedford Township man was arraigned Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, in Calhoun County District Court on four felony charges of creating and distributing child pornography.

Accused of producing and distributing child pornography, 35-year-old Travis Tudor was arraigned Friday on four felony charges in Calhoun County District.

According to police, Tudor was identified as a suspect during an investigation of ads posted to Craigslist that were seeking sexually abusive images of children.

The Calhoun County Prosecutor's Office said it's unclear if Tudor received any images by way of Craigslist.

Tudor, of Bedford Township, faces up to life in prison on three of those charges, the maximum possible sentence increased as a fourth time habitual offender.

His bond was set at $100,000 after Tudor asked the judge for leniency, saying "this is all one big misunderstanding."

Michigan State Police arrested Tudor on Thursday. The investigation lead to his arrest after Tudor posted advertisements on Craigslist.

Tudor's fiancé was in court Friday. The judge said Tudor has three children.
