BCPD officer investigate drive-by shooting; 1 sent to hospital


BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Battle Creek Police are investigating after a drive-by shooting sends one to the hospital.

Police were called to Redner Ave. near Coolidge St. around 2:30 p.m. after a report of shots fired. A 21-year-old man was dropped off at an area hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.

Investigators were able to find several shell casings at the scene.

Police have not arrested anyone at this time and the victim is expected to survive.
