Bangor Public Schools hires new superintendent
BANGOR, Mich. —
Bangor Public Schools hired a new superintendent after a year of controversy.
The district has named Lynn Johnson as the new top administrator. He has served as interim superintendent for several months after the resignation of Dennis Paquette.
Paquette stepped down as superintendent in January 2017 after it was discovered he was not certified to hold the position and served as the chief operating officer for the district. He resigned from that position in September.
The Newschannel 3 I-Team also discovered Paquette plagiarized articles he wrote for the school newspaper.
Johnson has served as community education director and a baseball coach.
