KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Movie night is close to becoming a reality once again in downtown Kalamazoo.

AMC signage is now pinned on the former home of the Alamo Drafthouse, on Portage Street.

AMC bought the building months after the Alamo closed in April.

An AMC spokesperson says the theater is undergoing a full renovation, including plans to install what they call "signature reclining seating."

Plans also call for a drink menu, including wine and beer options, but there's no word if it will be full service like the Alamo.

The theater is expected to open before the holiday season.
