'All Dogs Go To Heaven Motorcycle Run' to honor lives of pets killed in Muskegon kennel

MUSKEGON, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A West Michigan community will come together Saturday to remember 30 dogs killed in a kennel fire in Muskegon.

The "All Dogs Go to Heaven Motorcycle Run" will make its way through town to raise funds to build a permanent memorial.

The dogs were killed when flames broke out in the middle of the night at the Storms Ahead Kennels back in March.

To honor the lives of the pets lost, the proceeds from Saturday's motorcycle run will go toward a memorial sign and bench at the Muskegon Dog Park. The rest of the funds will be split between the dog park and Pound Buddies Shelter.

Both motorcycles and cars are invited to the event. It begins at 10 a.m. at the 46 Bar on East Apple Avenue.
