Pedestrian dies after being struck by a vehicle on Gull Road
KALAMAZOO, Mich. —
Kalamazoo Township police are investigating after a man was killed on Gull Road.
Police shut down several lanes of Gull Road around 6:30 p.m. after a car struck a man in front of Ascension Borgess Hospital.
Kalamazoo Township Lt. Scott Jackson said the suspect vehicle fled the scene after hitting the man in the road at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.
"Our hearts go out to the family in this tragic time," Jackson said. “We’re constantly distracted. I want to remind people to be very cautious when driving during the holiday season, especially when dark falls upon us sooner.”
