3 sent to hospital after intersection crash in Schoolcraft
SCHOOLCRAFT, Mich. —
Three people were sent to a local hospital to evaluate their injuries after a two car accident in Schoolcraft near the intersection of Eliza Street and North Grand Street around 10 a.m. Sunday.
According to officials on scene, one of the drivers ran a red light, causing an impact on the passenger side of the minivan from another sedan, causing it to rollover.
One individual occupied the minivan, while two others were in the sedan. Officials say all three people suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital to be evaluated.
"The big thing I can tell everybody is to slow down and pay attention," Brandon McMillan, a battalion chief with the South Kalamazoo County Fire Department, said as a reminder to motorists hitting the road for Memorial Day.
An official on scene says he has no reason to believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, but Schoolcraft Police Department is continuing its investigation.
