2 injured after rollover crash in Kalamazoo

Two Kalamazoo residents were transported to a local hospital following a two-car collision that flipped one vehicle on its roof at the intersection of N. Sage Street and W. Main Street around 2:12 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18.

Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded to the two-car collision to find a vehicle, driven by a 55-year-old Kalamazoo man, laying on its roof. A preliminary investigation determined the 55-year-old was northbound on Sage Street and failed to yield the right of way upon entering the intersection. He was then struck by a westbound vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Kalamazoo resident.

Both drivers were subsequently taken to a local hospital with what is being described as non-life threatening injuries.
