I-Team: Recordings of Christopher Lockhart after wife's disappearance show rage and fury

PORTAGE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Just days after Portage Police once again searched the home of Christopher Lockhart, a person of interest in the disappearance of his wife, Theresa, the Newschannel 3 I-Team has obtained recordings that show Lockhart screaming, ranting and raving at his neighbors, just prior to his initial arrest back in July.

“(expletive) you. (expletive) you in the biggest (expletive) way,” Lockhart can be heard on the audio recording, screaming toward his neighbor’s home. “We’ll see how much you’re laughing in the next couple of (expletive) days.”

For approximately 15 minutes, Lockhart can be heard at various times through the recording, going on expletive laced tirades.

“Waving your American flag, and you’ve got a (expletive) camera on me right now, (expletive) you,” he says toward the end of his rant.

Lockhart was arrested in July after video showed him vandalizing his neighbor’s home, just days after being named a person of interest in his wife’s disappearance and possible murder, by Portage Police.

The property destruction charges came shortly after Lockhart’s rant, which seems to referring to the fact that Lockhart’s neighbors provided audio to Newschannel 3 and other media outlets, allegedly showing Lockhart screaming at his wife a few months before she disappeared.

As a result of the property destruction, Lockhart was arrested--the first in a series of arrests, some of them alcohol related.

None of the charges have been directly related to his wife’s disappearance.

He is scheduled to be sentenced for those various charges in December.

On Tuesday, Portage and Michigan State Police searched Lockhart’s home again, as the investigation into his wife’s disappearance continues.

It has been 5 months since his wife’s disappearance.
