Bangor Schools COO resigns
BANGOR, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Dennis Paquette, the Chief Operating Officer of Bangor Schools resigned his position Wednesday night, and will no longer work in the Bangor School District.
This comes a year after the Newschannel 3 I-Team discovered Paquette was not certified to be the district's superintendent--a position he held for years.
In January, the I-Team reported that Paquette was stepping down as superintendent, and would serve as the Chief Operating Officer for the district.
The I-Team also discovered Paquette plagiarized articles he wrote for the school newspaper.
Lynn Johnson will serve as the district's Interim Superintendent.
In the meantime, Covert Public Schools has hired Dennis Paquette as a physical education teacher.
