Road Trippin': Paw Paw offers something for everyone
PAW PAW, Mich. —
For a village of less than 5,000 people Paw Paw is loaded with things to do.
When traveling on I-94 if you take exit 60 you'll end up in the village of Paw Paw, a village that is known for its wine selection, but has much more to offer. From at top notch breakfast that will fill your belly to little shops that will have you wanting to empty your wallet, you can find it all right off exit 60.
"We have the Garden Griddle, which is new to Paw Paw and voted best breakfast by News 3," said Mary Springer, the coordinator for the Paw Paw Downtown Development Authority. "We also have Edgin Creations, where Ginger Smietana hand crafts jewelry right in her shop. We have H2 designs where Holly Hamilton creates candles, very unique candles."
Paw Paw also features entertainment, including music for everyone, throughout the summer at the Amphitheater on Maple Lake.
"The Amphitheater downtown features concerts all summer long from July through August and we have something for everyone." Springer said.
Also winding through the village is a river that provides great views for those who want to go for a float.
"We have 68 miles of river that connects with the St. Joe river and goes all the way to Lake Michigan." Springer said.
So if you want good food, good music, a place to hear some tunes or a place to relax and float down a river, Paw Paw has a little something for everybody.
