10-1-18 Meet Monet
KALAMAZOO, Mich. —
Every month, Newschannel 3 partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters trying to match a local child in need with an adult mentor.
The goal is for someone to spend some time with them for a few hours each week or so.
Tonight, Newschannel 3 is looking for a big sister for one very active girl.
Little Monet is a tiny masterpiece, and she has an adorable smile, but she's bored to tears.
"Because I'm just at the house alone,” Monet said. “My mom takes care of business and I just be bored"
She wants a big sister, and she wants to participate in activities such as learning gymnastics, playing the violin and exploring different playgrounds.
"My favorite slides are the ones that go around, and around, and around until you get dizzy," Monet said.
She even wants to splash around in a dunk tank with her new big sister.
"Have her dunk me, like I could have my own so me and my sister could take turns doing that,” Monet said. “We could go into the backyard and do that."
If you became Monet's big sister, chances are you would never be bored. You would probably be laughing all the time.
"If anybody tickles me and if they don't really stop tickling me, tears just come right out of my eyes," Monet said.
But, that's better than being bored to tears. So if money tickles you, give Big Brothers Big Sisters a call.
