MSU, UM, prepare for big dance

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Michigan and Michigan State will share the spotlight at the Palace of Auburn Hills this week when the NCAA Tournament tips off, and Newschannel 3 will be there live beginning Wednesday.

The times and broadcast networks have been announced by CBS, and the Spartans get the early game.

They'll start at 12:15 p.m. against Valparaiso, and unlike last year when you were watching Michigan and MSU on Tru-TV and TBS, this year, the Spartans will be on Newschannel 3.

The Wolverines will begin the night session in Auburn Hills facing the South Dakota State Jackrabbits at 7:15 p.m.

That game will also be broadcast on Newschannel 3.

Both coaches spoke to the media after learning their seeding and pairings.
