KDPS Records Division closed

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Records Division at 150 East Crosstown Parkway will be closed Wednesday, July 11.

If you need assistance, KDPS says you can pursue the following alternatives:

If you need to access background checks, Michigan State Police offer the Internet Criminal History Access Tool available at http://apps.michigan.gov/ichat/home.aspex. This tool allows the search of public criminal history record information.

KDPS is not saying why the division is closed Wednesday, but offers an apology for any inconvenience.
