GR police seeking man who walked away from group living home

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police are looking for a 19-year-old man who they say walked off from a group living home in Grand Rapids on Sunday.

They are looking for Joseph Lucas, who they say sometimes goes by Joe or Jose.

On Sunday, police say Lucas walked away from the group living home, saying he was going to Louisiana with a friend. He had also reported that he has not been taking his psychiatric medicine for some time.

Police say Lucas also left without his medications.

It is believed that he might be actually heading in the direction of Midland, Michigan, and police are also concerned as he has posted on his several Facebook accounts that he might be suicidal.

Lucas is described as 6'2" and 240 pounds.
