(AP) - Tuition and fees at Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan universities are going up by 3.2 percent in the upcoming academic year. Boards at the two schools approved the fees Tuesday as part of their budgets for the 2014-2015 school year. The 3.2 percent increase keeps Kalamazoo-based Western Michigan and Ypsilanti-based Eastern Michigan within a cap set by the state Legislature. Beginning this fall, fulltime in-state freshmen and sophomores at Western Michigan can expect to pay $10,700 annually. At Eastern Michigan, tuition for an in-state undergraduate carrying a fulltime load of 30 credit hours for two semesters will increase about $300 to $9,700.
