Chemical odor leads to meth lab bust

PAVILION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - In Kalamazoo County, three people were arrested Tuesday morning after an odor investigation led to a meth bust.

Deputies from the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office were conducting a separate investigation around 3:30 a.m. when they detected a strong chemical odor.

They say it was coming from a home in the 6400 block of East North Avenue in Pavilion Township.

They got a search warrant. Investigators say they found remnants of a methamphetamine lab that they say the suspects attempted to destroy.

All three individuals in the house were taken into custody.
