The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids and northern Indiana issues a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH for Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties until 10 PM.  Damaging wind gusts of 60 mph or greater are the primary concern.  Large hail of 1" in diameter or larger is a close second.  We'll be tracking storm development with Live Doppler Radar throughout your afternoon and evening.  Storm motion is easterly at 30 to 50 mph.  Stay with for the latest weather information!

String of home invasions in Branch Co.

BRANCH COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Michigan State Police are asking for your help following a string of home invasions in Branch County.

Troopers believe a man is behind at least six break-ins.

He was seen leaving the Coldwater Walmart driving a white pick-up.

This, after police say he likely broke into half a dozen homes in Bronson Township and stole several items early last week.

It appears the suspect went from house to house in the area.

Homes in the following areas have been hit:

  • 900 - 1000 block Slisher Rd, Bronson Twp
  • 200 block Praire River, Bronson Twp
  • 800 Burr Oak Rd, Bronson Twp
  • 900 block Douglas Rd, Bronson Twp
  • 700 block Pleasant Hill, Noble Twp

State police now believe the man is behind another break-in that happened on Thursday near Quincy.
