Schoolcraft man admits over $160K in embezzlement

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Schoolcraft man spent one day in jail after he admitted he embezzled more than $160,000 from a well-known shoe store.

Nicholas Lubrick was also ordered to pay $250 in restitution to Okun Brothers Shoes, and $168,000 to the Okun Brothers Insurance Company.

Lubrick confessed, he took the money from the business between 2011 and 2012 to fuel a gambling addiction.

In addition to the jail time and restitution, Lubrick will be on probation for five years.
