Studio 28 in Wyoming to be demolished

WYOMING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - What was once the largest movie theatre in West Michigan will soon be gone.

Demolition of Studio 28 in Wyoming begins Tuesday morning at 9:00.

The demolition comes six years after the iconic theatre closed its doors.

According to M-Live, after more than four decades Studio 28 became too old and costly to operate.

Demolition of the property has been delayed until now because of the extreme winter.

The Loeks family, the previous owners of the theatre, will be giving away a limited number of bricks from the building for those who want a keepsake.

They'll be given away on a first come, first served basis.
