DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Effective Until 11 AM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY until 11 AM for nearly every county in West Michigan save for Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties.  Recent, heavy rainfall, and light winds are the perfect combination for fog production.  Visibilities may be as low as 1/4 mile or lower; that's enough to drastically change how you drive.  Please keep it safe this morning and travel slower, if you have to.  Additional stopping distance isn't a bad idea either.  Stay with wwmt.com for the latest weather updates!

Students in Otsego pack meals for families in Haiti

OTSEGO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Nearly 50 students under the supervision of a handful of parents packed 10,000 meals for the less fortunate overseas on Friday.

The Otsego Christian Academy students filled each packet with rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables, and a vitamin mixture.

The packets will be shipped out Monday to students in Haiti.

Each one can feed a family of six.

The packaging event also served as a fundraiser.

Part of the proceeds raised for Feed the Need helped pay for the food and the shipping.

The rest goes to the Academy Scholarship Fund.
