DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.  Light winds, ample moisture near the ground are encouraging the formation of dense fog.  Because temperatures are near freezing, a light coating of ice may form on some road surfaces making them slick.  Please keep it safe this morning as you head back to work and school.

Towing company in Muskegon forced to cut off service to parts of county

MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Rescuers and towing companies caught themselves in the cross-hairs of chaos earlier Friday in Muskegon County.

Eagle Towing tells us that the conditions were the worst they've seen all year.

The company had to cut off service to certain roads because it was just too dangerous.

Pictures sent to Newschannel 3 show a driver caught in a massive snowdrift in the area of Whitebeck and Fruitvale Roads near Montague.

A Muskegon County Deputy also suffered serious injuries after his cruiser was hit several times on Heights Ravenna Road.

Fortunately, the wind and snow are starting to die down at this hour.
