HIGH WIND WARNING; WIND ADVISORY

WARNING Until 11 PM; ADVISORY Until 2 AM

The National Weather Service in northern Indiana issues a HIGH WIND WARNING in Berrien county until 11 PM for 60 mph, or higher, wind gusts.  65 mph gusts have already been confirmed in Michigan City.  

A WIND ADVISORY remains for nearly all of West Michigan until 2 AM.  45 mph to 55 mph gusts are likely and have already verified.  Downed tree branches and some power outages are possible.  The wind direction is from the north, and winds will easily be sustained in the 25 to 35 mph range.

W. Mich. man found guilty in brother's death

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A West Michigan man was found guilty of killing his brother Friday.

A Kent County jury convicted 18-year-old Royale Runyon of second degree murder and felony firearm.

Prosecutors say Runyon gunned down his brother Madhi Hayes in an alley off Worden Street in December of 2012.

Runyon is also a suspect in the shooting death of Hayes' former girlfriend Eve'vana Galloway.

So far, he has not been charged in her death.

Runyon is scheduled to be sentenced in February.
