WMU community input session rescheduled
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A community input session designed to let you share your opinions about the design process for the new Alumni Center at Western Michigan University has been rescheduled to Tuesday, January 14th.
The session was postponed due to WMU being closed Monday and Tuesday.
The university has decided to focus on the core of East Hall, which means the wings of the building will be demolished, along with other East Campus buildings that were torn down last year.
East Hall will be turned into the new Alumni Center at a price tag of $21-million.
The community session on January 14th will run from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Little Theater on the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Lane.
This is the second of three sessions and will feature design professionals from Tower Pinkster, the company selected to guide the renovation.
