How to report potholes on state highways to M-DOT

MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - While it might not look like it outside at the moment, warm days in January can bring out the winter thaw, and with it, pothole sightings.

The Michigan Department of Transportation wants to remind you that you can report potholes along state highways either online or by phone, 24 hours a day.

You can call the hotline number 888-296-4546 or visit their website through Michigan.gov.

M-DOT says it helps to report them because the quicker you report, the quicker they can be patched.
