Every state in continental U.S. to have one city below freezing

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Every state in the continental U.S. is expected to see at least one city with below freezing temperatures Wednesday morning.

But the now infamous polar vortex, which brought the bone chilling cold, will soon be heading back where it belongs. As it heads back to the North Pole, warmer temperatures will arrive Thursday and Friday.

Authorities say there were nearly two dozen cold-related deaths.

It will take days to straighten out travel delays.
