DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.  Light winds, ample moisture near the ground are encouraging the formation of dense fog.  Because temperatures are near freezing, a light coating of ice may form on some road surfaces making them slick.  Please keep it safe this morning as you head back to work and school.

BC police help tow over 100 vehicles

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Battle Creek Police have helped tow more than 100 vehicles in the past two days.

Many violated city orders, which required vehicles stay parked off the streets so plows can get through, but most of them just got stuck in this treacherous weather.

One had to be pushed off the railroad tracks near the Post cereal plant.

A patrol officer says just about any vehicle you can think of had to be rescued, including 4x4's.
