A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORYremains in effect though 7 o'clock this morning for the following counties in West Michigan: Kalamazoo, Van Buren, Allegan, Barry, Kent, Ottawa, and Muskegon. A few, scattered, lake effect snow showers could add an inch or two of accumulation in the Advisory area overnight, creating slippery roads. Take extra caution if driving in the Advisory area this morning. Weather conditions are expected to improve area wide today.

Tow trucks staying put in Allegan Co.

ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Tow trucks are staying put in Allegan County.

Sheriff Frank Baker says wreckers will not go out on the back roads in the west side of the county until conditions improve.

This comes after some trucks had trouble getting stuck in the snow Monday.
