Some trains canceled by snow

WEST MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Two Amtrak train rides heading from Kalamazoo and Chicago are canceled Monday just hours after one was stranded on the tracks.

Passenger Valerie King tweeted that the train arrived in Chicago at 1:30 Central Time after it was stranded for nearly nine hours.

According to Amtrak's website, Train 353 left Kalamazoo around 3:00.

The train then became stuck in Miles.

Passengers say they are being told a pipe from the engine to the brakes froze.

Amtrak sent another train to pick up stranded passengers.
