HIGH WIND WARNING; WIND ADVISORY

WARNING Until 11 PM; ADVISORY Until 2 AM

The National Weather Service in northern Indiana issues a HIGH WIND WARNING in Berrien county until 11 PM for 60 mph, or higher, wind gusts.  65 mph gusts have already been confirmed in Michigan City.  

A WIND ADVISORY remains for nearly all of West Michigan until 2 AM.  45 mph to 55 mph gusts are likely and have already verified.  Downed tree branches and some power outages are possible.  The wind direction is from the north, and winds will easily be sustained in the 25 to 35 mph range.

Winter storms delaying holiday travel nationwide

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - This winter storm isn't just creating issues in Michigan, but across the Midwest.

The ice has snarled plans for countless passengers on one of the year's busiest travel weekends. Flights from Oklahoma to Chicago have been delayed or cancelled.

Back here in West Michigan, taking a live look now at the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Airport flight information, there are a few delays. It's the same story at Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids.
