LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY

UNTIL 9 PM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  2" to 6" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph bringing lake effect snow bands near and across US 131, at times.  Some locations will see more than 6", especially closer to Lake Michigan.  Roads are slippery and become more tricky once the sun sets.

Likely Senate candidate Gary Peters visits with Newschannel 3

WEST MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The man who will likely be the Democrat's choice in the race for U.S. Senate came through West Michigan Thursday.

U.S. Representative Gary Peters made stops in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo Thursday, picking up some endorsements from local leaders and at the same time answering our questions for the first time in this campaign.

Newschannel 3 Political Reporter David Bailey joined us from the newsroom to tell us about a Congressman who might be unfamiliar to some in West Michigan.
