Construction to get underway at Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Int'l. Airport

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Construction will soon be underway again at the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport.

The Kalamazoo County Board has approved a 68.7 acre expansion of two parcels that sit right next to the airport.

The land will be used to build general and corporate aviation hangars.

The airport plans to use $1.16 million in federal funding on top of money from its Capitol Fund to pay for the expansion.
