HIGH WIND WARNING; WIND ADVISORY

WARNING Until 11 PM; ADVISORY Until 2 AM

The National Weather Service in northern Indiana issues a HIGH WIND WARNING in Berrien county until 11 PM for 60 mph, or higher, wind gusts.  65 mph gusts have already been confirmed in Michigan City.  

A WIND ADVISORY remains for nearly all of West Michigan until 2 AM.  45 mph to 55 mph gusts are likely and have already verified.  Downed tree branches and some power outages are possible.  The wind direction is from the north, and winds will easily be sustained in the 25 to 35 mph range.

Michigan anticipates creation of thousands of jobs over next decade

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Michigan's economic axis is tilting west, which will likely create thousands of good, high-paying jobs in Grand Rapids, Traverse City, and Ann Arbor over the next decade.

Detroit is expected to add the largest number of jobs in Michigan.

The highest rate of job growth is expected to be in West Michigan, though, with northwest lower Michigan and the Ann Arbor area as well.

That's according to a study prepared by Public Sector Consultants in Lansing.
