DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.  Light winds, ample moisture near the ground are encouraging the formation of dense fog.  Because temperatures are near freezing, a light coating of ice may form on some road surfaces making them slick.  Please keep it safe this morning as you head back to work and school.

Red Cross puts out plea for blood donations

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The American Red Cross is putting out a plea for blood, as they typically see a big decline in donations during the winter holiday season.

The closer we get to Christmas, the bigger the drop in donations.

As a special 'thank you,' anyone who donates between Christmas Eve and Friday, January 3, will receive a free two-ounce brick of coffee and a coupon to Dunkin' Donuts while supplies last.

There are several blood drives scheduled across West Michigan, including one in Allegan on December 24, and one in Otsego on the 3rd of January.
