Family's Christmas presents stolen in alleged break-in

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - One local family's Christmas has apparently been stolen.

The robbery happened Wednesday afternoon on Seivour Avenue, in Battle Creek.

The family says they came home to find all of their Christmas presents gone.

Thieves reportedly took Christmas gifts for an 8-year-old, 6-year-old, 2-year-old, and 10-month-old.

The family tells Newschannel 3 they don't know what to do next.

For Martha Parks, it's a true holiday nightmare, as her family was robbed of more than a dozen Christmas gifts.

She told Newschannel 3 that she left her home for a short time earlier Wednesday night and when she came back, she found her window open and her house ransacked by bold bandits.

Police are on the case, but Parks understands her heartfelt gifts are most likely never coming back.

She says she wants to remind others to lock your doors and windows this holiday season.

At this time, police say they don't have any suspects.

The thieves also stole special gifts for a disabled man, and also medicine from all the cabinets.
