State Treasurer Dillon resigns
LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Michigan Treasurer Andy Dillon has resigned.
According to a release by Governor Rick Snyder, Dillon will step down November 1.
"It is with regret but understanding that I accept Andy's resignation," said Snyder, in a statement Friday afternoon. "He has been instrumental in many of the comprehensive reforms that are contributing to Michigan's comeback. Andy has worked tirelessly on behalf of the people of Michigan, and we're a stronger state because of his dedication, expertise and leadership."
Dillon was named Treasurer by Governor Rick Snyder in 2011.
