Suspect arraigned in trooper's shooting death
LUDINGTON, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The teenager accused of killing a Michigan State Police trooper faced a judge for the first time Friday.
19-year-old Eric Knysz has been officially charged with the murder of Trooper Paul Butterfield.
His arraignment started just before 5:00 p.m. in Ludington.
Investigators say Trooper Buttefield pulled over Knysz and his pregnant wife Sarah on Monday night in Sheridan Township.
They say Knysz opened fire, shooting Trooper Butterfield in the head.
