Airport officials vote to move ahead with dismissing airport director
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Kalamazoo Airport officials voted Tuesday to move forward in the process of dismissing the Airport Director.
This comes just two weeks after Newschannel 3 first broke the story of a harassment investigation involving Moshiginis and one of his support staff members.
Six members of the board voted unanimously to start negotiations with attorneys for Director Cliff Moshoginis to end his employment.
The board met in closed session for nearly an hour and a half before voting.
Moshoginis has been on paid leave for almost two weeks.
That was when board members received a letter from the County Administrator, saying Moshoginis was part of a harassment complaint filed with the county.
There is no timeline set for the negotiations.
The next board meeting is scheduled for the first week of October.
