Driver pleads guilty in fatal drunk driving crash

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A guilty plea was offered in court Monday in the case of a drunk driving crash that killed a woman and two young children.

David Johnson pleaded guilty Friday to 2nd degree murder and operating a vehicle under the influence, causing death.

Police say Johnson's blood-alcohol level was 4 times the legal limit when he crashed head-on into a car near South Haven in November.

2- and 4-year-old sisters Kandice and Cassadi Berryhill and their 24-year-old cousin Brittany King were killed.

The girls' father, Justin Berryhill survived the crash.

Johnson is due back in court for sentencing next month.
